Chrysler Repair: 01 chry t&c liftgate, body control module, chry

Question
using the remote or the overhead button the lift gate will not open, we have power at the fuse but not to the plug at the motor, what can be wrong?

Answer
Hi BJ,
Unfortunately I don't have the wiring diagrams for a van so new as yours (I'm limited overall to '99 or earlier models).
My suspicion is that there is a relay associated with providing power to the motor and so that is what I would look for under the dash or in the power distribution center under the hood. See if you can find any label at the relay sockets that describe the liftgate as its assignment. With as much current as is needed to operate a liftgate it would be surprising to me if such a relay were not needed. If you can find one try jumping across terminals opposite to oneanother in the socket to see if that causes the motor to operate. If so, then test the relay by jumping 12v across the alternative set of opposing terminals on the relay itself to see if it will click and if it does then measure for continuity across the alternative terminals (which would be the compliments of the terminals in the socket that caused the motor to respond). If the relay seems good, then probably the body control module which probably actuates the relay when prompted by the button or the remote is not doing its job for reasons to be determined.
I wish I had the wiring diagrams so that I could be of more certain help to you.
