Chrysler Repair: 1991 LeBarron Convertible fires and runs for 3 seconds and dies., car fires, lebarron

I have a 91 LeBarron Convertible. The problem I am having is The car fires and will start but after about 3 seconds it will die.  I have replaced the fuel filter and pump with no change.  I did take it to a garage and they told me it was the security system modual the only problem is the car does not have one that I can find.  Any help would be greatly appricicated.

You may want to check one or two of my other responses regarding a no-start condition on vehicles in the age range as yours.  It's possible that a failing body control module has tried to learn a feature that it does not have.  I.E. It thinks it's got Theft and it doesn't so when you can't communicate with a module that isn't there it locks it out.
