Chrysler Repair: chrysler taillights, chrysler minivan, aftermarket taillights

hello, i have a question regarding my 1997 chrysler minivan, i purchased these aftermarket taillights for it, and i need to detach the taillight from the wiring harness and ill be darned i cant get it, do you know how to remove this? any help is greatly appreciated. thank you

Hi Michael,
I suggest that you go to a Chrysler dealer's parts counter and ask if you can see what a replacement lamp holder looks like as it should be identical to what is presently on the van. That way you can see what it look like before being attached to the wires and how it fits together. I guess these holders are problemmatic because another owner in Europe sought my help in getting replacements from a U.S. dealer, which I did, but I didn't bother to examine them before I sent them to him, unfortunately. But I think the parts counterperson will let you examine one and that should provide the answer that you need.
