Chrysler Repair: 99 Van radiator drain cock leak, drain cock, radiator shop

Question
1999 town/Country Limited drain cock on passanger side of radiator. My 2 hour coolant job now into 3 day. Sound familiar? Cannot get drain cock to stop leaking.  My manual does not "address" this problem.  Autozone has replacement "stem" but how to replace it, if this is the problem. (Leaking means steady drip)
Maybe the manual was afraid to say "tie a tin can to the frame."Thank you for " listening ."

Answer
Hi Warren,
All I can pass along is that the stem appears in the drawings to have a couple of ears that retain it, and that appear to be of flexible metal, and that when you grab the stem (with a pliers, I assume, which would be o.k. because you are going to replace it) and pull straight out it should release from its socket. Take a look at the replacement and see if that makes sense to you. Either turned full out ('94 car manual) or 1/8 turn back ('93 van manual) from full out appears to be the choice as to its position when you pull on it. Maybe a radiator shop would be able to tell you from their experience. Let me know how this goes, please.
Roland
Thanks for the kind evaluation.
