Chrysler Repair: town & country blower problem, intake plenum, rectangular plate

Question
I have a 2002 town & country. The blower only works on high. I see in previous questions that the broken part is in the air duct. Exactly how do I get there and what would it look like? Thanks

Answer
Hi Dan,
Those with the resistor block in the air duct are cars. The vans, as far as I know, put the resistor block at the air intake plenum that runs under the windshield outside the van. The block is accessed from the engine compartment:
open the hood and look in the very upper corner of the firewall on the passenger side of the van. If you see a rectangular plate into which an electrical plug is fitted that has five wires (tan, light green, light blue, red/white, and tan/black) then you have found it. It is held in place by a couple of screws, so remove the plug and screws and it should come out of the duct. Check that the coil wires don't touch oneanother when you put in the new one or a used one from a wreck. I haven't actually verified that the location is still as I described it in a 2002, but I suspect it is.
