Lincoln/Mercury Repair: 96 Mark VIII Air Ride, lincoln mercury dealership, nylon lines

Question
Lately my car's rear end will not "air up" in the morning after sitting all night.  Sometimes.  Not all the time but sometimes.  The "check air ride" notice comes on.  I can stop, pull over, shut down, and wait for it to air up.  It stays up all day while at work.  I have received a postcard from a company called, Bagmaster.com and wonder if they are reputable or should I go back to my Lincoln Mercury dealership where they worked on my front air ride system a few years ago?  Ever heard of Bagmaster.com, mobile air ride system repair???  Please advise.  Thanks & I appreciate your help since I am newly divorced and on a budget.  JR

Answer
Hi Jeff, My child support ends 10/15/06! Yes!

I never heard of bagmaster. When I looked them up, they sell carring cases for guns...

I believe you have a leak in one of the lines to a rear bag. As you drive, do you hear the pump running all the time? I was just reading some of the TSBs on this and it says to raise the car on a lift after turning of the air ride. Then inspect the nylon lines... Sheesh. I had one connector blow on my Navie and my general repair buddy knew exactly what it was and it was fixed in a jiffy. You might try a couple of phone calls to shops to see if these guys know of a common failure to these. It's likely a spot where the air line rubs against something and wore a small hole in it. There may be a common spot where this does it. I'll call Ford tomorrow and ask my parts guy. I will follow up with you tomorrow. Thank you!
