Answer
P.S. I may be "maxed out" for getting questions/answers, and if so just use the "evaluate" tab below to send me a comment which by-passes the maxed out situation.
Thanks again

Hi again David,
It was last November that you wrote me about your high idle speed problem with your 2.5L V-6. Another owner of that engine wrote me today to ask if I knew what you found that fixed it so please let me know so I can pass that information along to him. Thanks so mucn.

Hi David,
One question: when you said no codes, did you mean that you didn't even get a code 55? If so then the code readout didn't work because at least you should get a 55.

Hi David,
I would be inclined to remove the throttle body and clean it thoroughly with attention to the iac passageway and the throttle body bore and plate. If there were an obstruction that kept the throttle from closing or the iac tip from moving freely in its passageway, that could cause your problem.
There are also a number of measurements regarding the iac driver ciruits which may be not functioning properly but in most circumstances these would set a code. Did you check for codes using the ignition key, and did you also check using a diagnostic readout box II? If all that checked out, then trying a new PCM may be the last resort.
Please let me know if any of these suggestions are helpful, and also if you find another cause for this.
