Chrysler Repair: 1994 Lebaron Freeze Plugs, chrysler lebaron, 1994 chrysler lebaron

I have a question ? I have a 1994 Chrysler LeBaron with the 3.0 engine. Where are locations of the freeze plugs on these engines ? Recently i noticed antifreeze leaking betwen the engine and trans and was told it is a freeze plug. Let me know if there is one there or if something else could be leaking. Thanks James

Hi James,
I am not familiar with the freeze plug locations, but if the leak is on the top side of the engine, between the two banks of cylinders, then it more likely to be a leak in the water pump inlet pipe that has two sections clamped together with a gasket which might be leaking at the joint (it runs from the rear of the engine to the water pump at the front). You need to remove the intake manifold to service it. Otherwise I can't give you any info on leaks at other points of the 3.0L engine.
