Chrysler Repair: security system, emergency flasher, body control module

Question
94 LHS  security system is activated and I need to know how to disable.  The normal open the door with Key does not disable the system.  Thanks

Answer
Hi Russ,
Have you tried the right front door with the key because that also is supposed to be useable to disarm the system?
If that doesn't do it, then I would suggest checking the fuses both in the power distribution center and in the passeger compartment under the dash on the driver's side. The security system is mediated by the body control module, and the disarming part is powered by a fuse that always has power to it even if the ignition is "off". That circuit is called the 'ignition off draw' and it may also be responsible for the emergency flasher function (or at least wired similarly if not on the same fues).  I don't happen to have the complete wiring diagrams for LHS or I could tell you which fuse to check. But I suspect that circuit is not powered and that is why you can't disarm the system unless you find that the right door will disarm it in which case there is a wiring issue between the left door lock and the body computer that need to be corrected.
Let me know if either of these suggestions are helpful to you.
