do you happen to know the wiring cofiguration for a 1985 dodge caravelle power seatas it came unplugged from seat when i took it out and no telling where to reconnect wires to seat control panel.
Answer -
Hi Scott,
Yes, I have the '85 wiring diagram manual which is a great resource for a problem such as yours. But I need to get some clarification. The manual shows two Plymouth models with the Caravelle name (a Canadian hardtop, an American 4-door sedan), and none under the Dodge nameplate. But if you can give me the first 11 digits of the VIN number that will sort that out. Then there is the issue of the type of power seat (bench, 50-50 split, or power bucket)? And finally, where is the wiring disconnect that you can't seem to find the other connector for attachment (under the seat, at the seat control panel {and where is that control panel located}, or is it the entire wire routing you need to track down)? The manual has wiring diagrams and pictorials for all these issure which I would be pleased to xerox and postal mail to you. One picture is worth a thousand words, so if time permits I would prefer responding that way, but if the issue is pretty simple to describe I will be pleased to try that method.
Rolandthank you for quick responsecontrols at side of chair is where it came loose it is a 4 door hardtop   vin# 1p3bj46dxfc329 7 wires each connecting up individually at like sorta armrest controls for seat

Hi Scott,
If it is a "Bench and left bucket seat" or a "Split bench 50-50 seat" determines how the pins on the switch are configured.
On first one, the switch shows three sections with 2-4-2 pins while for the second one I don't see "sections" but just three lines of pins numbering 4-3-1 counting across the narrow width of the switch. So there should be 8 wires not 7. So tell me which type pin arrangement on your switch and/or whether the widths of the two seats in front is bucket-bench or 50-50 bench-bench. Then I can tell you which wire goes on which pin of your switch (if that is exactly the info you need to know; if not, tell me what you need).

P.S. I'm only going to be here for another 40 minutes, been invited for Easter lunch, but I'll get back to you later in the day if in the meantime you can get back to me with which switch you have. Also verify that there are 8 wires.yes 8 wires 50 50 bench i guess 4 3 1 on configuration

Answer
Hi Scott,
Holding the switch with the row of four pins on your left:
top pin reading down is: yellow/white, red/white, yellow green, and red/green
middle row of three pins, top pin down is: yellow/blue, black (the thick, ground lead), red/blue
and single pin row on the right is the thick all red wire (the 12v power supply lead).
So give that a try.
Happy Easter.
