Answer
Hi Nathan,
I can only suggest that you continue to seek parts from the pull-it-yourself wrecking yards as that is the lowest cost that I know of. The new fuel rails cost close to $175 new from a dealer. The transmission also is likely going to need a rebuild or you will have to find a replacement at a wrecking yard that is good. The problem with the electronically controlled transaxles is that they are very expensive to rebuild when they go bad. Yours has entered into "limp-in" mode which is designed to prevent further damage. You might have an hydraulic problem that doesn't require total rebuild; the way to find out is to have the fault codes readout. If any codes from 50 to 54 come out that likely means a rebuild is necessary. So that is about the best I can offer to you. You will have to weigh the costs against the utility you will get from investing in the refurbishment of the car.
