Chrysler Repair: REMOTE START 99 CHYRSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY, astroflex, astrostart

i HAVE RECENTLY HAD AN ASTROSTART 2106 INSTALLED IN MY 99 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTY. MY VAN HAS DOOR SECURITY BUT DOES NOT HAVE AN IGNITION SECURITY. I DID NOT HAVE THE 2106 PROGRAMMED WITH THE DOOR LOCK FEATURE ONLY THE START FEATURE  WHEN USE THE AUTO START, THE UNIT UNLOCKS THE DOORS, WHICH ACTIVATES THE DOOR ALARM THEN MY VEHICLE DOES NOT START UNTIL I HIT THE UNLOCK ON MY KEYCHAIN REMOTE. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE INSTALLER AND HE CANNOT FIGURE THIS OUT EITHER. PLEASE HELP!

Hi Tom,
I don't know very much about remote starter systems. But I did search and found that the system is made by Astroflex.
You can go to their website
www.astroflex.com
and choose "english", then astrostart, then FAQ  and you will find an answer to a question about the unit not working unless you put your key in the ignition lock (which isn't exactly what yours is doing but close) and it says that the on-board oem door security system is not being properly by-passed and to see your installer! I suspect if you contacted the manufacturer they could tell you what to do to properly by-pass the Chrysler system.
I am sorry to not have the exact answer but I hope the manufacturer will help you or your installer to solve the problem.
