Car idles around 1000 in park and 900 in drive(auto trans). I cant figure out what the problem is and second i replaced the turn signal in my dash i have those space shuttle types dashes. I cant figure out why my turn signal wont work when i checked fuses and everything, high beams work and all other switches just the turn signals wont work.

Answer
Hi Bry,
I am uncertain about a couple of things you reported. When you say "then code came back" do you mean both the 13 and the 14, or only one of them and if so which one? You are aware that the codes only self erase after the problem is corrected AND it stays corrected for 50-100 ignition key cycles? You can erase them by disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes, however. If you are sure that the codes are "fresh", verify for me which code number(s) they are at present, please.
Then you said "i replaced the turn signal in my dash". Do you mean you replaced the switch in the pod? or the light bulb in the instrument panel? Do the emergency flashers work or not? If not, then I would suggest you take a look at the "combo flasher" which runs both those systems. It is yellow in color and it is under the dash, to the right of the steering column,  clipped onto one of the air conditioner ducts. Make sure it is plugged in firmly. If it is not too expensive you could try replacing it; otherwise let me know and I'll give you some instruction on doing electrical tests on the circuit first to check out the rest of the system before paying for a new combo-flasher. If the hazard flasher system works, then the combo-flasher is o.k. and we'll have to trace the circuit to find the problem.
