Chrysler Repair: front crank seal, chrysler engine, cyl engines

 1991 chrysler caravan front crank seal.
How do i get the bottom sprocket off crank.
And is this an abnormal problem.

Hi Mike,
I have to admit that I haven't had to do this task on any Chrysler engine yet, but I do have the shop manuals for the 4 and 6 cyl engines (2.2,2.5, 3.0L) and would be glad to look up the question in those manuals. I'm uncertain whether the 3.3 of 3.8 is set up like the 3.0, but in any case let me know what engine you are dealing with.
