Chrysler Repair: 2000 dodge neon mechanics manual/advise, dodge neon, newer cars

TM  Ihave a 2000 dodge neon purchased new in 2000. My Re-circ/circ air controls does not change the door for re circulation.  the dealer wants over $200 to connect what they say is the control arm for these two positions.  I'm a fairly handy person when it comes to mechanic ability but have no idea which manual would be the best for me to have for this car.  The old Motors Manuals were excellant books, but not sure if they still print them for the newer cars.  Am I tackling more than I can handle? Your input would be gratly appreciated.  Thanks

A book would not address that problem,Take out the glove box
and see if a pen or something got in the door that opens and
closes.I dont remember if that is vacume operated or cable
operated. or is the control arm broken.I fixed a ford truck
with the same problem,#two pencel got in the door !It only took five minutes to get it out.  good luck
