Question
Ok I have a 67 mustang coupe 289 no a/c with power steering
I have had the front end rebuilt tie rods coils, shocks.upper lower control arms ,end links etc the whole thing
Now here is my problem when I drive the car the front of the car seems to have a mind of its own wanders have to correct steering all the time Now its not bad at low speeds but still there and worse with higher speeds!
I am lost on what else I need to do Pls help

Answer
Hello John,

Check your steering box for wear. Also, there is a "rag" joint between the upper and lower steering shafts that can deteriorate and cause excessive play in the steering. Given my assumption from your note that all else from steering box on has been replaced or rebuilt, the steering box is where I would check next.

Best of luck,

Bob
