Question
QUESTION: How do I removed the armor coil wire from the Coil cap, so I can install a new rubber grommet in the firewall.

ANSWER: The coil to cover connection should be a twist lock. With the coil disconnected from the fire wall at counter clockwise twist should disconnect it.

Answer
On some after market coils there was an adapter held on to the top of the coil by a nut on a stud. It would appear that the adapter is loose and allowing the adapter to turn on the coil instead of the adapter coming loose from the armor cable cap. They are probably rusted together. Also in turning it round and round the wire is probably damaged. Now it is just muscle it apart and replace what ever parts are damaged.
