Classic/Antique Car Repair: 77 Jag XJ6 C, fuel starvation, internal noise

Question
While driving vehicle, lost all power. Rolled to stop on side of road, vehicle turned over with ease, no internal noise on cranking, will not start.  Towed home and has been sitting for 2 years. Any thoughts ? Timing belt, fuel starvation ??

Answer
Hi Specer:
You could have snap the timing belt, but you should have heard a small pop when it cut out. Also, if it turns over, but ever show any signs of trying to start, it would be the timing belt, because none of the cylinders are firing. If it does attempt to start, you could have just jump timing due to a lose belt. In either case, its the timing belt.
