Classic/Antique Car Repair: Heater and Window defrosters, raditor, fire wall

Question
I recently bought a 1947 ford super deluxe w/ a V-8 Orginal. It has a different heater than any I have seen. The Blower is mounted on the Outside fire wall with a long air intake that extends up the hood foward of the Raditor and inside the car is a long raditor that can  be adjusted to defrost or heat the car. The defrost hoses are missing. Is this a standard heatyer/Defroster?? Haven't seen one l;ike it and can"t find one in the books I have. Thank You in Afvance. RC

Answer
Good morning Ralph:
A couple of questions please. The duct that runs forward on the hood, is it metal and do the brackets look factory installed? Does the rear end of the duct fit over the opening for the heater motor blower when the hood is closed? Is there any signage on the system that says "Magic Aire"?
Let me know, Brad
