Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1939 buick eight, hemmings motor news, buick club

Question
I have recently been able to buy this classic. It has been garage kept since the 50's, in a damp area. The paint is pitted, the chrome is slightly rusted but for the most part the body is solid & very straight. My problem is allot of the lines are rusted under the hood & I might need replacement parts, A Manuel or repair book would nice. I am very green in the antique car area ( but not afraid to get my hands dirty) I do however need some direction, So if you can shed some light It would be very helpful,
Also how do I join the buick club, Thanks for any help you can provide.  Thanks mike

Answer
The Buick club is www.buickclub.org. Next step is to subscribe to Hemmings Motor News the bible of the old car hobby. Just about any part that you need for your new baby you should be able to find some one selling that part in Hemmings. There are also companies that reproduce the lines, wiring harnesses, and soft trim that might be needed. Good luck and keep me posted please.
