Classic/Antique Car Repair: 66 Mustang, fuse box, stang

Question
Tazz,
My 66 Stang keeps blowing a particular fuse.  When I look at the schematics, it appears this fuse is only connected to the instrument lights (vice the others which have multiple functions).  I can pull out the panel and access all lights, the fuse box is a royal pain to work with.... any suggestions/recommendations?  Thanks,
tim

Answer
Don't always trust what is written. Try and notice if anything else is affected by the fuse, such as gas guage.

Also, follow the wire either from fuse box forward or from light cluster back and see if over the life of the car someone has tapped into the wire.

If either of these are not so, you have a bulb going to ground and it may or may not be burning out or discolored. Pull all the lights out and run the car and see if the fuse still blows.
