Classic/Antique Car Repair: coil for a 66 mustang, braket, engine compartment

Question
where is the best place to put my coil inside the engine compartment?

Answer
Since you didn't tell me which engine your car has, I can only guess here.  If it is a V8, you can bolt the coil braket to the intake manifold mounting bolts near the distributor.  If it is a 6, find 2 bolts near the distributor on the side of the block and use those to hold the coil bracket to the engine so it cannot move with respect to the distributor.  The original coil mounting bracket will have two holes in it for the mounting bolts, and they will line up with two bolts on the engine somewhere in one of those two places (depending on which engine you have).
