Classic/Antique Car Repair: 68 Camaro Steering Wheel, 68 camaro, steering wheel

I'm trying to romove an original steering wheel from my 68 Camaro and after removing the retaining nut it dosen't want to slide off.  Is there a special tool needed to remove the wheel from the colum?

Brad- o-yes you need a wheel puller, there are a few tricks but I better not tell you just rent a wheel puller as you can do damage if you strip the threads,or cut wires. and the line in the shaft should be put on the same way. and it should be put on tight
