Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1974 Corvette Lost Keys, lock smith, visible damage

Question
This car has been in the 2nd floor of a dry barn for the last 20 years and I'm getting ready to restore it (or at least look at it) but my father has passed away and the keys are long gone.  How can I get a replacement key?  The car is a convertable with 32K miles, it'll be interesting to see how it's held up, I've looked into every so often and there is no visible damage.

Answer
WOW sweet, not many barn finds left

you will have to pull the tumbler out of coluum or call lock smith but this is only to turn the wheels to get it out of barn correct?

Just dont try and start it if its been sitting for so long, you need to of course pull plugs, oil down cylinders real good, let soak in.

The accel pump in carb is prolly shot and seals in tranny  and if you do turn the wheels then the steering slave will fail due to lack of lube although them seals could be dry rotted as well.

Anyway I would get it home, pull motor and tranny then replace all your front end bushings, get the poly graphite at about 250 for the kit

What ever the cost just take your time cause they only go up in value
