why dose my 1988 5.0 LX mustang have 4 bolt hubs, was it a 4 cyl car

I did some looking and it seems that all of the mustangs  came like that  in that year. I guess due to the light body/frame  it can get by with the 4 lugs.  as the LX Mustang came that way. As far as smaller motors I would say that they would have to be ordered.
