Classic/Antique Car Repair: 63 plymouth valiant, slant six club, old mopars

Question
the garage i've been using over the years to care for my 63 valiant just went out of business and i'm wondering if you have any suggestions for good places either in northern california or in the northeast (new england area).  i currently am trying to repair the chassis so i need a good auto body shop.  thanks.

Answer
I'm sorry, I'm about as far away from both places as I could be (on the San Diego county line in the high desert).

I do have a local shop that I use - he just finished my 67 Chrysler and did a prize winning show job on it, but he is expensive and slow.  He is a MOPAR nut himself, so he'd do a great job, but it's too far away for you, I think.

The 63 slant six Valiant is one of the best cars ever made, I hope you can keep it running forever.  Good luck with it.

If you are not a member of the "slant six" club or the Chrysler club, or the Mopar Mailing list, I advise you to join one or all of them - the members will help you find a good shop who likes to work on old Mopars.

Dick.
