Hi Bill,

You may have a bad regulator..There is a way to bypass the regulator for testing..would you like to know how?

The flu is better today but i can't hear much...I have not been this sick in years!

Answer
Hello Bill,

All my books say NOT to bypass the regulator. Why the Gen could put out 35+ volts! But All my books say run a wire from A bolt that holds the reg to the fender to the Gen body. This will make sure the Reg is Grounded! you sure you have the 3 wires on the Reg right? and have it right on the Gen? "A" and "F"...The regulator maybe BAD...Try the grounding,,, is this  A NEG or POS ground system? I never asked that!
Flu is much better! 2 weeks now!
Email me with what you find!
