QuestionRoger,
The valve covers that I have are finned with the word Corvette in the center. I would really rather have better covers than chrome but thought I would start there. Thanks for your help.-------------------------

I am trying to find a set of chrome valve covers for a 265 cu in chevy. With the offset holes they are hard to find. I have a set of corvette covers, they are fined and black.
Were there any other chevy blocks that used them?
Any info would be appreciated.

ok as far as i can remember the only heads with the offset holes were the old 265cu.in and maby the early 283s but i'am not shure about that. ok the finned aluminum valve covers from chevy are rare as i do not remember that many and thay might have been put on after do they have the ss or 265 marks on them?
If you need chrome valve covers go to www.j.c.whitney.com as they have more stuff for everything and you could do some web shurching as look up chevy engine parts. or chevy custom engine stuff, etc. you will find them as they are still out there , as they might not be g.m. but you can get the offset covers in chrome ok and i would use rubber gaskets and put some spray gasket stuff on the valve cover side only as this way you can take them off a few times with out replacing them. ok

Answer I LOOKED IN THE JC WHITNEY CATALOG AND IT LOOKS AS IF THAT GOT THEM ALSO JUST TYPE IN CHEVE ENGINE PARTS OR CHEVY CUSTOM PARTS AND YOU WILL SEE A LOT OF PLACES THAT DO SELL WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR NEED MORE HELP JUST ASK ME OK
