Classic/Antique Car Repair: CLUTCH, chevy ss, clutch disk

Question
I HAVE A 66 CHEVY SS WITH A 396 MOTOR IN IT, I HAD A DIAPHRAM CLUTCH AND IT BURNT OUT SO I PUT A NEW ONE IN AND IT IS STARTING TO SLIP AS IT HAS BEEN IN ONLY 3 WEEKS. WHAT DO I DO.

Answer
ok i had one also , how is your flywheel , and what kind of power are you pussing, if i was you i would take that clutch right out and be sure the flywheel is ok than you should get a good heavy duty three finger clutch like a zoom tm. as long as its a h.d. 3 finger clutch, presshure plate and throwoutbering as you must hav all the parts not just a clutch disk, get a clutch set if you can find one also are you tourking down the presshure plate to the specs. this will do it.
