Dodge Repair: 08 Avenger: hesitates on acceleration

When i Start from a complete stop i start to excelarate and the car starts to bog down. kinda like the the tranny is slipping but know its not. i have thought about a fuel filter but that is expensive and wanted help before i went that route! thanx

Hi Ethan,
Try to get a readout of any fault codes that may be stored in the memory of the engine control module by using the ignition key. Turn it "on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the odometer window in the speedometer to see if the mileage reading disappears and is replaced by a 4-digit number preceded by a P. Let me know what you find. And tell me the size (L) of the engine.
