Dodge Repair: Oxygen sensor not used on export vehicle, pollution control equipment, oxygen sensor

Question
Just to update you on the problem with my Dodge Van. I am keeping this question as private as there will be no question.

The 3.3L engine for the Middle Eastern Market comes with only one oxygen sensor and it is in the front. That was the reason I was not able to find the oxygen on the rear exhaust manifold! After your instructions, I looked carefully and found that the hole for oxygen sensor was sealed with a cap-like thing. The wires got loose as the connector (which was supposed to be connected to the oxygen sensor and was there anyways) was broken. I got it all taped up and secured. Thanks for your help. By the way, the van also does not have a catalytic converter; I guess Dodge is not using it to reduce the sale price since it is not required by the government authorities.

Answer
Hi Shafique,
Thanks for sharing that info about the export model's lack of pollution control equipment. I would like to share that info with others so will change this to a public question.
It is good to know that although the sensor is not installed, that the wiring harness for it was there and had failed and caused the short that took out fuse #17 which is crucial to the function of the engine.
Thanks for your ratings and nominations.
