Dodge Repair: AC damper, vaccum, damper

I have 1998 Dodge 4 X 4 340 magnum and the blend damper seems to be stuck in defrost mode no matter where I turn the switch. Is the damper elect. or vaccum controlled? Thx.

340 Magnum? Okay, I'll just assume you have a truck. You have a broken blend air door on HVAC housing. The housing, which lives behind the dashboard needs to come out and disassembled to repair the door. If you need to ask how this is done, you are over your head and need to take it to a professional. And it is electrically operated.
