Dodge Repair: 2003 van no spark, crank sensor, cam sensor

QUESTION: coworker owns van and drove to pick up his helper. van would not restart only cranks. getting no spark from coil.have changed coil/dist. cap/ cam sensor as my scan tool pulled a 340 code. still no spark. asd relay looks fine.van is definitely getting fuel,sprays out of relief valve when cranking. how do i proceed?

ANSWER: Replace the crank sensor even though you're not getting a code for it. That engine will run without a cam signal, albeit not well, but it will run.

Assuming the cam sensor/pick up coil was installed correctly. The next step would be to check for power at the cam sensor connecter. You should have about 5 volt at either of the outer terminals withe the key on. If voltage is not present you'll need to check wiring back to the controller for opens or shorts. I've included a connector pinout view of the PCM connector to help you out. The circuits you want to check are K4, K7 and K44
