Dodge Repair: Power Door Lock - Unlocks ok but wont lock, side switch, dodge dakota

I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota R/T that has had an issue lately with the power door locks.  First the drivers side door wouldn't lock with the key fob.  Then I noticed the truck  would not lock or unlock with the switch on the armrest of the drivers side for either the driver or passenger.  Now it won't lock with switch on either the drivers side or passenger side.  It will unlock using the passenger side switch or the key fob but not on the drivers side.  Everything else works fine.  A friend of mine said it might be the BCM.  Is there any way to reset it or do I need to replace it?

the bcm controls both side so with that knowledge i would say u have a wire issue or connector issue on the drivers side area.U might also be looking at the BCM if u find no probs with the wires to the switch.I live in Atlanta I could look at it for u
