Dodge Repair: Trans, dodge stratus, condition thanks

Question
I have a 1996 Dodge Stratus auto with a 2.4 engine. The transmission wont shift out of first gear. The fluid and filter were changed and it did not help. It has 140000 thousand miles on it. Outside of that the car is in real good condition.Thanks for any advicce

this could be in the shift senser it should be brought to a tranny shop so they can do a diagnostic test to see for sure what it is . the diagnostic test in a tranny shop is free it is part of the sevice good luck to u and hope you make out well . pete
