NEED YOUR ADVISE..THANK YOU VERY MUCH..
Answer -
Joe,

Did the mechanic use steel gears or the plastic ones from Dodge?  And did he just change the chain alone or the chain and gears?

THE MECHANIC SAID THAT HE HAD PUT A NEW CHAIN AND GEARS BUT, DON'T REMEMBER HIM MENTIONING THAT IT WAS FROM DODGE..ALSO HESAID THAT HE INSTALLED SOME KIND OF DEVERTING PIECE OF METAL FLOP FOR THAT OIL..

Answer
Joe,

The noise you are hearing could be comming from a few places, They have two differant kinds ogf gears. one set has plastic gears and they can be very noisey the other set is steel. also I have run into a few trucks that the water pump was making a noise and it sounded just like the timing chain noise.

You may want to remove the drive belt and start the truck up and see if the noise is still there. if so then the chain may need to be rechecked.
