I have been told that I need to replace the water pump on my 2008,Ford, Mustang, V6. It has 35,000 miles on it. I thought the water pump would last longer. Is this normal for my type of car?

no, this is not normal. there is no exact life expectancy but, not usually that low on mileage. I would strongly suggest contacting your local ford dealer and see if they can help if they can't they have a 1-800 number you can call for fords customer assistance. good luck    -b-
