Ford Repair: 93 ford explorer, ford explorer, fuses

Question
ok my truck is frying ignition fuses n wont start , it blows them when i try to turn her over to start , what could it be i have checked my wires in the dash n found nothing strange or out of place .

Answer
If you are referring to the #1 fuse under the hood, this supplies all power to the ignition switch, you'll have to trace all circuits to find the one that is shorted. I would start at the ignition switch and go from there. Ford had switch problems in the 1990s and sometimes the switch will actually come apart. The start circuit is red/light green, but I can think of nothing on that circuit that would blow a 60amp fuse except a direct short to ground.
