Ford Repair: Ford Body Repair, ford motor co, oem bumper

Question
I recently was in an accident Oct 5,2010 in which the other driver rear ended my 2008 Ford Focus.  Geico covered the damage on my car, however the first bumper replaced was an Aftermarket brand and the paint job was terrible.  Paint was flaking off and looked like putty, which body shop was going to pass off as good to go. Then I called Geico and the adjuster and I agreed upon an OEM bumper to replace the aftermarket one.  This time the paint job was excellent, and bumper in great condition, however instead of an OEM bumper, I received an "Reconditioned" bumper instead.  I would like an answer on how to resolve this issue with Geico.  Do I need to contact a lawyer regarding fraud on Geico's part.  The body shop that did the repairs is associated with Ford Motor Co.  I am not sure why they insist on not replacing my bumper with a new oem bumper.  Thanks Chris

Answer
Hello Chris, this is not my area of expertise but I would say you need to have a sit down with a Geico rep. and the body shop to directly address your concerns. If a reasonable resolution can't be made then contact your insurance and or legal assistance. Hope this helps. Thanks Tony
