Ford Repair: uk mondeo st24 2.5 v6, mondeo st24, mechanical abilities

Question
i have a loud tapping noise coming from the engine especially when reved is this the tapets if so how hard is this to do and how urgent is it as the car is still being driven

haven't had to do a mondeo yet i believe it is the same as a fusion here-the cams may have to be remove the question is to find out why they are tapping-as far as how hard would depend on your mechanical abilities/tools and available information because if you have to remove cams and timing belt there may be some special tools required
a lot of fords now have no timing marks and takes tools to line up properly. i would take to reputable garage.
