Ford Repair: 1999 ford Ranger 4.0 L, ford ranger, brake fluid

Question
When I turn the key the brake light stays on and there is a buzzing sound that stops when I press on the brake. What do I need to do here? I unplug the wiring directly above the brake petal and it stops. Can I leave this unplugged?

if you have noticed you probably lost your brake lights as well by unplugging that, so its a good idea to leave it plugged in. there are only two reasons or that brake light to come on, either the paking brake is on or the master cylinder is low on brake fluid, check both and let me know.
