Ford Repair: ac compressor removal, inner fender, ac compressor

QUESTION: How do you remove the ac compressor on a 2003 Ford F150? It looks like if I remove the passenger side inner fender well that will allow me enough room to pull the compressor out through there.let know what you think.

ANSWER: this depends on what engine this vehicle has,,,   either  4.6    5.4   or 4.2, each has a different setup.

QUESTION: Sorry, it has a 5.4 engine.

hey there. on the 5.4 liter. i am pretty sure you have to disconnect eh motor mount on the right hand side and lift the engine up a litle bit to get all the bolts out. i i have gotten away without disconnecting the mount a few time but it does make it a pain.
