Ford Repair: Transmission vibration, tail shaft, steady speed

Question
I am experiencing a vibration in the drive train of my 1993 F150 154K miles 4.9L I6 EO4D (correct? it is stamped Metric on the pan) Transmission. The tranny shifts fine and smooth. I changed the U Joints and the rear end fluid was changed at 120K miles. After each gear shift if I was to keep a steady speed at 1200 RPM's and then start to moderately accelerate; seems like the trucks' drive train vibrates and I hear a groaning and dinging sound all at the same time. I did notice the transmission tail shaft is not stiff and ridged it has play in other words I can move to around about 1/32" in all directions. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hello Byron, You have a tough one there. I know as far as a dealer most of them have a vibration anylazer. It will pick up on decible level to the vibration and then they use a chart to determine where the vibration is coming from. Good luck Thanks Tony
