I have just rebuilt my 1995 ford f150 v8 302 5.0 efi i had  it started 5or6 times but not idle or stay running and had gas in the oil there was a vaccum leak from the fuel pressure regulator vaccum hose i repaired it i drained the oil out and did an oil change dry cranked it without plugs in it until gas was evaporated replaced plugs tried to start it and it tried to start but flooded again pulled plug and it still has gas on it what could the flooding problem be ... Truck ran fine before i rebuilt it

Answer
i would have to take a look at this one several things come to mind

timed wrong-busted regualator check pressure to find out-wired wrong-sticking injectors-shorted injector wire to ground causing injector/s to stay open (have seen this several times-engine coolant temp sensor unplugged or shorted-good luck.
