Ford Repair: Harmonic balancer on 97 Ford Ranger 4.0L, crank shaft, bolt hole

Question
I have removed the bolt from the harmonic balancer. Was trying to pull the balancer using a harmonic balancer tool. There seems to be a bushing in the balancer that does not allow the bolt to press against the crank shaft.
How do you remove the harmonic balancer?

Answer
i think that bushing you are talking about is actually part of the balancer put the bolt back in most of the way but leave some slack between the bolt and the balancer pull against the bolt and see if the balancer moves if so you may need to borrow a piece of steel rod and put in the crankshaft bolt hole and pull against it.
