Ford Repair: 2000 ford crown victoria, fuel pressure gauge, ford crown victoria

Question
QUESTION: I change the throttle position sensor the throttle response is little better but there still is  slight miss and it still hesitate a lil between 30 and 40 mph no check engine light

ANSWER: If this is the same crown vic that was wanting to know about the throttle reset.I don't recall you say that it had a miss to it.A couple of things to check without an engine light.Fuel pressure would be a good thing to check.Being that the throttle position sensor did help, there are two things to look at.The throttle body itself may need replacement.I would next remove, inspect, and clean the throttle body.A trip to the Genesis scanner might be involved.

QUESTION: what is a genesis scanner

Answer
A genesis scanner is a sophisticated version of a code reader. It measures sensor output, normal parameters, and ECU reports.Long story short,it tells if the sensors are not accurate,or it will also tell if the ECU is going down. These machines range in cost from $1500 to $4000.So don't expect to have it checked for free.Check the fuel pressure first with a fuel pressure gauge.I hope this helps you.
