Ford Repair: blows out alot of exhaust, gas milage, exhaust smoke

i have noticed that my '98 probe Lx spits out alot of exhaust and is very loud, even with a new muffler. is there a method of keeping the carbon discharge to a minimal and it gets bad gas milage for a 2 door.

Try adding a resonator to quieten down you're probe.Also,could you clarify "carbon discharge" for me please.Did you have the probe's emissions tested?When you say exhaust,are you referring to the volume of hot air coming out of the tail pipe,or is their multiple colors to you're exhaust,smoke?Believe it or not,a good tune up will dramatically quieten down an engine.
