Ford Repair: 2001 Ford Expedition Service Engine Soon, safe bet, service engine soon light

Today I noticed a slightly rough idle and slightly jerky acceleration.  Then my Service Engine Soon light flashed a few times and then turned off.  Shortly after that, it came on solid.  My husband drove it, and the light first came on solid, then flashed a few times, then shut off.  Yesterday we had a bad storm with standing water in some areas that we had to drive through.
Could that have caused some type of problem?  I don't know if I should take it in to get it checked, or wait it out .

Depending how deep the water was ,it is a safe bet this is what caused you're problems?If it is still able to drive, take it to Advance or AutoZone and have the Check Engine Light Codes read for free.I would then decide if it is a DIY project that you can tackle.
