Ford Repair: 5.0 short block vs 5.0 h o short block, e303 cam, crank shaft

1991 mustang gt had 5.0 h. o. broke crank shaft. I ordered 5.0 h.o. short block received standard 5.0 block. I will be using my e303 cam and g.p 40 heads is there any reason this will not work for a fun daily driver. No nitrous, but has bigger injectors .computer has been remapped

  Well, the cam won't work in the regular 302 block.  The 5.0L (302 HO) block has a larger cam base circle that it shares with the 351W series motors.  I suppose you could probably have the cam bearings removed and have the block line bored to the right size and have the right bearings installed, but otherwise you'll just have to find a cam that will work with a regular 302.  Hope this helps.
