Ford Repair: No Start, ford f 150, pin harness

Question
I have an 88 ford f-150 4.9L I-6.  The truck turns over, has spark, has fuel to rail but no fuel gets into the chambers.  I checked the injectors but could there be no power there? It has a 6 pin harness how do I check for power?

Answer
Hello Mark,
It is very possible that the fuel pump is operating, but not producing enough pressure to actually open the injectors. The fuel pressure has to be at least 30 psi, and MUST be verified in a no-start condition.
When checking for injector operation, check at an individual injector, the easiest one to access. With a meter or a low-draw test light(a regular one will smoke the computer if not already)check for power on the red wire, and when cranking, check to see if the other side is being grounded by the PCM. A special light is made to check for this that is alot more safe. If the injectors are not being operated, it is likely that the PCM is not powered and grounded properly, or defective.
Feel free to follow up for more suggestions. Good luck!  Shaun.
